The Star Building

123 Justison Street, Wilmington DE, 19801

Completed in 2010

Pettinaro certainly raised eyebrows in the commercial real estate community when it announced the speculative construction of a 150,000 SF Class A office building on site of a former industrial building at the Wilmington Riverfront. This announcement came during a historic low in the office leasing market. Having no signed leases, Pettinaro completed the seven-story building in early 2010, using its in house construction company, Pettinaro Construction Company, Inc. The Star Building was built on a site across from the Christina Crescent Building, which was completed by Pettinaro just a few years prior. In April 2010, Pettinaro announced its first tenant, Delaware based law firm, Grant & Eisenhofer, PA. Since then, the Star Building has become home to additonal regional and national tenants such as Navient, Bernardon, Credit Shop and Health Core. Pettinaro Construction Company, Inc. also completed the tenant fitouts in this building for a majority of the tenants including Navient, Healthcore and Bernardon.
